PORTRAIT || The Brownings (Mini-Session)

I LOVE working with families! I’m not exactly sure why, but I always have a blast when I get to photograph parents and their kiddo(s). This go-around I got to work with The Brownings to give them some adorable Christmas photos. Fortunately, they were able to take advantage of one of my seasonal Mini-Session promotions.

EVENT || The Gaines’ Going Away Party

This was my FIRST paid gig in LOS ANGELES! The Gaines’ not only offered me my first official L.A. gig, but they also gave me my first place to live out here. This might not seem like a huge deal, but prior to me moving to L.A. this family did not know me… AT ALL!

Portrait | Tje Austin – #TBT

This week’s #TBT post is dedicated to a great friend and even GREATER artist – Tje Austin! This throwback post holds a lot of significance for as it was my FIRST EVER editorial shoot!! Back in 2010, this guy and I were just getting acquainted. I had recently seen him on The Voice (Season 1) and had just started

PORTRAIT | Brian & Jessica

I can’t think of a more majestic setting for for a Magician and his Bride-to-Be. In fact, I didn’t think of this location, but I’m so glad to know of it. Here in LA there’s a special hike that leads up to a very special tree. The story behind the “The Wisdom Tree” is that it was

PORTRAIT || London’s Baby Dedication

This session was done over 6 years ago back when I lived in Austin, TX. Baby London got to experience her first Church Dedication (a variation on a Baby Baptism). If memory serves me right, I believe the dress little London is wearing was a family heirloom, giving this session a very classic and timeless

CATALINA

As a birthday treat to myself, I chose to spend the day on the gorgeous isle of Catalina. And, thanks to Catalina Express I was able to travel for free! As you may know, the photographer in me seldom rests and after being told repeatedly about how beautiful the island is, I felt it would be a

Performance | Lauren Silva Live @ The Mint

Throwback Thursday – Music Edition! Last year my good friend and fab singer/songwriter Lauren Silva came through Los Angeles and put on an amazing, intimate performance at The Mint. It was a privilege to be the photographer on her promo team during this event and capture her beautiful soul radiating from her presence and through her music.

Behind The Scenes | Two Long Ladies (Film)

Thanks to the prior relationship established by coming alongside Mary to assist her on the Two Long Ladies performance, she contacted me again to come back and do some BTS/Promotional shots for the film they were making based on the original piece. As a result I got to spend the day on the GORGEOUS Pepperdine

Head Shots | Robert

Robert is an up-and-coming writer with a lot of perspective and a good bit of quirk! New to L.A. he wanted to get a jump start on presenting a polished look to market himself. While he did want a professional set of shots done, he also wanted something that reflected his “inner geek”. He felt
